A restoration by Peter Russell.
It is 36" L.O.A. and 9" beam. It is made from Pacific Maple in the "bread & butter" method. My late father cast the lead keel, put a pine deck and rudder on it. The deck and the rudder were stripped off, and the hull was thinned down to half the thickness. The mast, boom & spars were made from Western Red Cedar. The sails are made from Poly-Cotton. The whole project took 10 months and cost me over AUD$1,000. The yacht sails well in a good breeze. My father would be happy with the result, but probably on the cost.
