Phoenix I have recently acquired a small toy(?) yacht.
At it widest part, the deck measures 105mm across. The hull is 595mm long
and the keel is 110mm down from the base of the hull. The name painted on
her is Phoenix, she appears to be a solid lump of wood, although she is very
light so I'm not too sure about her construction. At the stern is a small
brass pipe through the hull, I assume for a rudder. I have no mast nor sails.
vmyg reply I am not sure about this one. The keel profile looks very like the Bowman toys, as does the general shape of the hull, except that I don't recall Bowmans having such an extreme length to breadth ratio. Russell Potts Certainly a Bowman the measurements tally
with mine. Photos show the rig I made as mine was minus mast and sails ,possible
a bit large, but she sails fairly well. 6 fixings attach ply deck to hull
but what the hull is made of I do not know. Mine has many coats of paint.
Original transfer on deck `Bowman Racing Yacht` surrounds an archer or bowman
with `Ridlington Norfolk` below.
