Hope you can help ,i have just bought to pond yachts the red and white one is approx. 5 and a half foot from keel to top of mast 3 foot long and 9 inches at widest point wide, all wood mast and booms with mainly alloy/metal brane gear, the blue and white one is approx. 5 foot tall from keel to tip of mast 3 foot long and has a slight slope to the bow its all alloy masts and booms with nice brass brane gear i have just acquired both yachts and have no idea about age or build, and would be most grateful if you could help.I dont know if ive given you enough information but i can send more pics if you like.

I'm at a loss. I think they may both be relatively recent restorations of 1940s or 50s models. Neither looks to have been originally a serious competitive boat, though the rigs, so far as can be seen in the photos look as though they were done by someone who knew what was what.

The original source of the designs might be found in 'Popular Mechanics' or a similar general craft magazine.
