A 24" Alexander with stained and hardwood topsides enjoyed the
breeze, the quality and cut of her sails giving good account. Two Ailsas
were present among several, the larger belonging to Jim Lawson.
Jim has now rigged and restored the elegant cream and white cutter brought
to a previous meeting as just the hull. Here she makes a good showing
with her distinctive part square sectioned bowsprit and her lee rail
under.
John Holden brought a number of boats which included
an unusually large Sugg schooner, at one time also rigged as a cutter:
also an Albatross yacht made apparently in London......
